30.07.2012 Grinding and dispersing innovations

Netzsch Group, Selb, Germany, has introduced two significant technical developments in recent months, both of which were exhibited at ACHEMA in June. Here the group had a large stand occupied jointly by Netzsch-Feinmahltechnik GmbH and by Netzsch-Condux Mahltechnik GmbH.

The Economic Dispersionizer Omega® is a state-of-the-art dispersing unit designed to provide maximum product quality and reproducibility as a result of an optimum combination of turbulence, cavitation and shearing forces. The system operates with considerably reduced energy consumption and maintenance requirements with very low
heat generation while dispersing.

The second new product is the BeadBox which was shown mounted to a LME 30 horizontal agitator bead mill. The unit saves the operator valuable time and labour by exchanging the grinding media at the push of a button, without any need to open the grinding chamber. Extraction as well as wet reloading of the grinding chamber with grinding media is carried out by means of enclosed fluid flow.  Netzsch reports that its participation at ACHEMA was a great success, with most interest being shown by visitors from pharmaceutical, mineral and food industries.

Geographically, most inquiries came from Germany (about 55%) followed by India, Korea, Belgium and Czech Republic.
