ACHEMA 2012, which took place 18-22 June, achieved a record number of non-German exhibitors accounting for almost 50% of the total, the overall number of exhibitors and visitors having remained stable. Foreign exhibitors came from 56 countries, with more than 200 Chinese and more than 150 Indian companies presenting equipment. For five days, 167,000 participants found out about the capabilities of the 3773 exhibitors, which they presented on 136,400m² of floor space. Products and services serving chemistry, process technology and bio-technology requirements ranged from laboratory equipment and components through to plant-building and packaging lines. In all fields, particular attention was devoted to the major themes of energy and bio-economics.

 

"We are especially happy that the new layout of the halls was so well-received," said Dr Thomas Scheuring, CEO of DECHEMA Ausstellungs-GmbH, at the end of the event. The next ACHEMA is scheduled for 15 June 2015 at the customary Frankfurt-am-Main location.
