13.03.2017 Automated ingredient mixing/dosing to be featured at interpack

Daxner, Wels, Austria, on Stand A55 in Hall 5 at interpack will be giving pride of place to its fully automated mixing and dosing system for producing ready-made ingredient recipes. Here a 3D-container transport system hygienically doses and weighs minor ingredients directly from silos. Capable of producing complex batch mixes with a capacity up to 12t/h, it provides for an intermediate bulk container to be shuttled to each minor or micro ingredient collection point, and then to the downstream mixing line. It has been designed to prevent cross-contamination for all handled allergens and complies with stringent sanitary regulations.

Daxner´s mixing systems include sophisticated control mechanisms. This ensures that the screening machines reliably eliminate any metal contaminants. Centrifugal screeners, also to be exhibited, are used for the efficient control screening, fractioning and de-agglomeration of lumpy and granular powders. This device can be disassembled without the use of tools, thereby enabling easy and fast cleaning.

Ingredients are fed into the mixer via a VIB & PRESS loading station, which is particularly suitable for ‘difficult’ products such as egg powder or powdered pepper which tend to form lumps. With the VIB & PRESS system, specially developed by Daxner, two actions are performed simultaneously: in addition to the vibrating screen (VIB) which performs the screening action, products are pressed through the flat screen (PRESS) by slowly rotating paddles located just above the screen mesh. Any lumps in the products are gently de-agglomerated. www.daxner.com
