12.06.2017 Apollo opens factory in Thailand

Apollo Group, Coevorden, the Netherlands, in the second week of June officially opened a new production facility in the capital of Thailand, Bangkok. Apollo VTS ASIA Ltd had already been producing and selling spiral conveyors for several months at its new 1600m2 facility. Claudia van den Pol, CEO of the Apollo Group, and Karel Hartogh, Ambassador of the Netherlands Embassy in Bangkok, both delivered speeches followed by a formal ribbon-cutting ceremony.

Every year companies become increasingly aware of the fact that floor space is a valuable asset and therefore they wish to utilise their square metres in the most efficient way possible. Consequently there is a steadily increasing growth in the need for vertical and inclined conveying systems. Claudia van den Pol commented: “We were getting more and more quote requests, especially from the international market. And with the promise of Apollo to be available 24/7 and in the customers’ own language and environment, we had to expand. With the new location in Thailand, we can keep that promise.”

The core business of the Apollo Group is the design, manufacture, sales and installation of components as well as complete integral solutions for materials handling and transport installations for the bulk and the packed goods industry. The group comprises Apollo VTS, Apollo ISC, Apollo LS, Apollo Service & Spare Parts and A. van den Pol. www.apollobv.com
