07.05.2018 Scottish acquisition extends Dustcheck’s reach north of the border

Dustcheck, Stoke-on-Trent, UK, has acquired the business assets of Glasgow-based Dust Control Solutions Ltd, a privately held company which manufactures and installs dust, fume, odour and pollution control systems for industry. The move is designed to strengthen the service Dustcheck, and parent company Filtermist International, can offer to customers in Scotland.
Filtermist Group CEO, James Stansfield, explained: “This deal will be beneficial for customers of all companies; having a local presence will help us to grow our existing brands in Scotland, whilst Dust Control customers will benefit from our extensive resources and wide-ranging expertise in all aspects of industrial air extraction and filtration.”
Founded in 2002, DCS has established supply partnerships with a number of European manufacturers including Aagaard which is a part of the OBEL-P group based in Denmark, and Belgian firm Formula Air which specialises in high quality galvanised and welded mild steel piping.
Dustcheck managing director Nigel Hubbard commented: “Filtermist is traditionally associated with oil mist extraction in the metalworking industry, whilst Dustcheck works with customers in a range of sectors including food processing, construction, and plastics and rubber. There are significant synergies between Dust Control Solutions, Filtermist and Dustcheck and we are excited by the opportunities this deal will offer.”
