23.07.2018 W&H sets up Polish daughter company

Windmöller & Hölscher, Lengerich, Germany, in June opened a subsidiary in Poland. The specialist manufacturer of  machines for production of flexible packaging has been active in the Polish market for almost 30 years with a representative office. In the last five years, the company has doubled its turnover in Poland. With the establishment of the subsidiary in this growing market, W&H wants to establish closer links with its customers and further improve its service offering with local technicians.

Windmöller & Hölscher Sp.z.o.o. has its headquarters in Warsaw. Torsten Berding, sales manager for northern Europe, takes over as managing director. In future, a total of eight sales staff and service technicians will look after Polish customers. Spare parts can also be ordered directly in Warsaw. "This way we create short distances and a local contact person speaking the language of the country", explained Berding. The Polish subsidiary will serve as a contact point for all W&H divisions: extrusion, printing and converting.
