Dietrich Engineering Consultants, Ecublens, Switzerland, has introduced the DosiValve which is capable of achieving highly accurate dosing of powders and granulates to tolerances within plus-or-minus one gram. It has been specially designed to avoid typical flow and accuracy problems when using standard rotating or vibration valves. An optional integrated fluidisation cone allows for difficult products such as sticky or wet powders to be easily controlled. The unit, which is available in a range of sizes, works in a safe and contained manner either for gravity loading and discharging applications (drums, bulk bags, containers, silos, hoppers, etc) or for active powder charging, in association with the company’s  patented PTS (Powder Transfer System) over longer distances.
Having no rotating parts, the dust-tight DosiValve can be readily integrated into transfer and packaging lines and allows for easy cleaning and sterilisation (CIP/SIP). www.dec-group.net
