Over the past year Penko Engineering, Ede, the Netherlands, has concentrated on upgrading its range of electronic weight measuring instruments.  After the successful introduction of the PENKO 960 and 1020 indicators, a new series of signal transducers, the SGM700 series, also known as ‘digitizers’,  has been introduced. These will be unveiled on Stand D1021at SOLIDS Antwerp (see above).
 The SGM700 Series is particularly suitable for automatic and non-automatic weighing applications, for example in silo areas, since it requires very little space. The new product serves as an interface between a load cell and a data processing system, a controller or a PC. As standard, all models are provided with a RS485 fieldbus and USB connection to facilitate setup and backup functions. www.penko.com
