25.03.2013 High-performance air classifier

Rhewum, Remscheid, Germany, has introduced the ABX High Performance Classifier, the latest version of the successful AWR classifier. It has been possible to achieve capacity for a high dust load up to 700g/m³ and a decrease in pressure of only 9-12mbar with a high selective classification at the same time, thanks to the use of CFD simulation of the anticipated particle flow. Furthermore, the material transfer has been simplified: a top-loader with only one or two feeding points, depending on the installation size, ensures that the inbound material is dispersed reliably. The finely dispersed material falls into the classifying area, located between the air blades and the rotor. For this reason the classifier body is no longer subject to abrasive jet wear. These benefits result in lower operational costs, concerning air flow and pressure drop, compared to conventional air sifters. Rhewum will show this latest classifier at Powtech (Stand 1-342). www.rhewum.de
