Coperion has successfully completed construction of the new compounding plant of Specialty Chem, a subsidiary of SABIC, in Al Jubail, Saudi Arabia. The contract involved engineering, procurement and construction of four compounding lines for engineering plastics and thermoplastic olefins (TPOs). Total production capacity is 43,000t/yr. Professional cooperation between the individual Coperion sites in Weingarten and Stuttgart (Germany), Ferrara (Italy) and Coperion  Middle East (Saudi Arabia) helped to keep the project on schedule and within budget while achieving the quality standards specified by SABIC.
