24.06.2013 Successful FFS bagging system offers further enhancements

In the first week of June Windmöller & Hölscher, Lengerich, Germany, introduced the third generation of its TOPAS FFS (form-fill-seal) line to customers. With more than 400 TOPAS bagging lines already in operation, it is the most widely used FFS machine for free flowing materials in the world. Primary applications include the packaging of resin pellets, fertiliser, food and non-food products, salts, chemicals and minerals.

The TOPAS SL has been completely redesigned from the ground up. It now offers increased output to more than 2600 sacks per hour, dramatically improved accessibility to the inside of the machine and the availability of an intuitive operator interface. With this line, W&H has adapted the machine to reflect changes in the market due to globalisation, the greater spectrum of processes and products being packaged, as well as the shrinking pool of skilled workers. With the new features, the TOPAS SL is designed to be more efficient than ever, yet easier to operate and service, even with less-skilled workers. www.wuh-group.com
