Zeppelin Systems, Friedrichshafen, Germany, reports that its recently upgraded CFH rotary feeder provides for continuous product feeding and discharge, even when the process vessel is pressurised. Two functions are performed simultaneously: the material is conveyed while the feeder is sealed from the process. The rotor and the housing are a perfect fit to minimise air leakage through gaps. Zeppelin’s rigid rotary feeder has been designed to withstand the differing rotor and housing expansions and distortions generally caused by high temperatures and pressures.
