12.08.2013 Masterbatch and regrind batched simultaneously

Another innovative gravimetric dosing system (see above) has been introduced by Movacolor, Sneek, the Netherlands. Called the MCTwin, it too will be shown at the K-Show (Hall 11, Stand D42). The machine combines two MCBalance dosing units featuring proven technology designed to provide a stable production process, high efficiency, savings and high quality end product.  One of these functions as the master unit and doses regrind, whilst the second operates in conjunction with the master unit and doses the masterbatch. In practice this means that the regrind is used optimally and the masterbatch is added when necessary for sufficient colorant. This enables plastics producers to avoid over-consumption of masterbatch and to reuse rejects and sprouts in order to minimise waste.

A dosing cylinder doses directly into the main material, thereby preventing colour separation. Movacolor has been designing and manufacturing advanced dosing equipment for the plastics industry for over 20 years. www.movacolor.com
