14.10.2013 Compact automatic bagging and palletising systems

Coperion, Weingarten, Germany, launched its latest developments to its bagging and palletising portfolio this week at K 2013 (Hall 14, Stand B33). Last year the company acquired Italian bagging equipment specialist Weicom Srl, allowing it at a single leap to enter the bagging/palletising equipment manufacturing sector. The latest IBP 250/500 packaging system (IBP = Integrated Bagging and Packaging machines) concentrates all weighing, bagging, marking, and palletising functions into a single machine with a footprint of 8.5 x 2.2m. The product inlet, together with dosing and weighing system, is at a height of 2.7m. The machine can be used to pack compounds of PE, PP, ABS, PC, PTA and PA, including masterbatch applications. It can provide useful statistical reporting and diagnostic control combined with efficiency monitoring. This feature combined with remote technical assistance guarantees reliable and efficient performance.

A new cleaning system performs its task thoroughly in less than a minute, without the need for operator attendance. This reduces the risk of product cross-contamination with a significant increase in the overall line efficiency. With the latest series of bagging and palletising machines, Coperion can now offer plastics compounders reliable and innovative solutions to meet the challenging demands of automatic packing systems, especially when frequent product changeovers are required. www.coperion.com
