Beumer Group, headquartered in Beckum, Germany, last month appointed Andre Tissen manager of its cement business unit. In his new role he will control and coordinate the company’s global competence centre for this industry. Tissen, 43, will be responsible for the marketing of the product portfolio, the strategic development and strengthening of the international sales team, the optimisation of the overall sales structure and for smooth communication between the group’s factories throughout the world. "I will continue to promote our international alignment with this global competence centre", he said. He will be combining the synergies of all subsidiaries in the Beumer Group which are active in this field. "My objective is to extend the existing market leadership, which we enjoy in various sectors, to the whole of building materials handling."
