06.01.2014 Pneumatic conveying valves reconditioned off-site

Doncaster-based Schenck Process UK recently completed the refurbishment of key process equipment at Proctor and Gamble’s London site to ensure efficient running of the plant.  The work was carried out in the purpose-built refurbishment cell at Schenck’s factory, thereby causing minimal disruption to the client’s operations. Reconditioning the equipment off-site had the advantage of eliminating the need for any on-site supervision, work instructions or permits to be issued.

The refurbished equipment is part of the pneumatic conveying systems that had earlier been supplied by Clyde Process, now part of the Schenck Process Group. Central to all Schenck Process pneumatic conveying systems is the Original Dome Valve®.  Refurbishment of this fast-acting control valves involves inspecting the dome for abrasive wear, replacing shaft bearings and seals where required, testing the equipment in operation and issuing a certificate of conformity. www.schenckprocess.co.uk
