13.01.2014 Foldable IBC gains UN certificate for carriage of dangerous goods

After several years of design and test work, Milford IBC UK, Wokingham, Berkshire, last month was granted UN certification for its 1000 litre capacity Qubit UN, the latest in the company’s range of foldable intermediate bulk containers. Liquid contents are contained within an approved internal liner, which can simply be disposed of once the IBC has been emptied. This removes the major expense of cleaning, and also the need to transport the IBC to a cleaning plant. Once emptied, it can simply be folded and stacked in preparation for the return journey. In the same space that two rigid units would occupy on a truck, the Qubit UN can be stacked six high. As well as providing significant return transport efficiency, the storage footprint within manufacturing/filling/warehousing facilities is also greatly reduced. Milford IBC is headquartered in, Adelaide, Australia and for more than 30 years has been manufacturing a range of demountable IBCs for dry goods as well as liquids. www.milfordibc.com
