11.08.2014 Quantum leap for vibratory separation

Sweco Europe, Nivelles, Belgium, will be introducing its revolutionary new Proteus separator on Stand 4-244 at POWTECH. Incorporating a major technical advance developed by the US parent company, it has the capability to change its motion without even the machine having to be shut down. All of the settings are controlled electrically, eliminating the need for manual weight adjustments. The Proteus can start and shut down with no resonance, producing very mild and controlled starts and stops. It can adjust its motion with a few key strokes, thus allowing efficiency and capacity to be controlled to optimum levels. Speed, G force, material retention time, and amplitudes can be controlled and integrated into a customer’s process.  The machine can be completely controlled, monitored, and optimised for changing process conditions.

The features of the Proteus separator have been designed to enable users to benefit from increased efficiency and capacity, longer screen life and easy maintenance of and access to the motors. Sweco suggests that as a result of this breakthrough users will need to rethink all preconceptions of how a vibratory separator is capable of performing. www.sweco.com
