29.09.2014 Winkworth celebrates 90th anniversary with move to new premises

UK-based mixer manufacturer Winkworth has recently relocated from its Swallowfield headquarters near Reading to a new state-of-the-art facility in Basingstoke. The move follows the company’s acquisition at the beginning of this year by Lindor of the Netherlands. The new 30,000ft² premises provide comprehensive test plant facilities which include an extensive range of mixers of varying sizes and types. There is a separate analysis room where customers can use laboratory equipment to analyse the results of mixing tests. This major move not only means all of Winkworth’s manufacturing processes are now under one roof, but it is more conveniently located for clients thanks to excellent road, rail and air links. It is a few miles away from the M3 motorway whilst both London Heathrow and Southampton airports are within easy reach.
All staff have relocated to the new offices, thereby ensuring continuity and the retention of extensive in-house expertise. Grant Jamieson, managing director of the Winkworth Group, which has been designing and manufacturing industrial mixers since 1924, said: "We are delighted that all of our staff have chosen to move with us and that customers will be visiting us in premises which reflect our world-class reputation for designing, manufacturing and supplying industrial mixing machines worldwide.” www.mixer.co.uk
