29.09.2014 GEA acquires Scan-Vibro

GEA Process Engineering has taken over Scan-Vibro A/S, Svendborg, Denmark. The company had been a long-time partner and supplier to GEA Process Engineering on several projects around the globe. Last year it was a supplier to the world’s largest spray drier installation completed by GEA Process Engineering in New Zealand.
“It is a great pleasure for us to announce the acquisition of Scan-Vibro which is a perfect partner for GEA Process Engineering and a company we have been working with for years,” said Niels-Erik Olsen, managing director of GEA Process Engineering operations in Soeborg. “This is really a good day for Scan-Vibro,” said Steen Larsen, managing director and former co-owner of Scan-Vibro. The vibration technology of Scan-Vibro fills the one major gap in GEA’s scope of supply within the field of powder processing. In future the company, which has about 60 employees worldwide, will operate under the name GEA Scan-Vibro. www.geap.com; www.scan-vibro.com
