13.10.2014 Glove-box FIBC discharge

AZO, Osterburken, Germany, has recently perfected a bulk bag discharge system with vacuum docking which has been designed to discharge free-flowing bulk materials safely without generating dust. The bag is opened within an enclosed system. Using gloves, it is possible to reach into the housing interior. The discharge spout is untied and the product can be discharged into a hopper located beneath, also inside the closed system, without generating dust. After discharge, the bag spout can be retied using the gloves, thus preventing any residual material from escaping when the FIBC is disconnected. The integral lighting and generously sized sight glass provide an uninterrupted view of the bag outlet.
Another ingenious solution for docking has been purpose-developed by AZO to meet the stringent requirements for hygiene in the food industry. In order to prevent dirt and foreign matter clinging to the FIBC in the production process, the FSA-type, bulk bag connection device has been fitted with a protective flap. www.azo.de
