27.10.2014 Conical mill for processing fine chemicals, cosmetic powders and APIs

Quadro Engineering, Waterloo, Ontario, Canada, has introduced the H20 High Energy Comil® which has been designed to meet unprecedented yield efficiencies and narrow particle size distribution demands of active pharmaceutical ingredient, fine chemical and cosmetic powder processing facilities worldwide. It is capable of fully containing all products in the processing and receiving sections to one micron per cubic metre levels, enabling pharmaceutical processors to achieve desired containment results with minimal additional capital investment. The machine provides a wide revolutions/minute milling range to accurately shift target particle distributions up or down, particularly important when milling multiple powders with varying characteristics. Containment features include safety-interlocked impeller purged seal, a tightly sealed milling housing and optional wash-in-place (WIP) capabilities. It is available in an XP version as well as with ATEX certification.
Quadro Engineering, a unit of IDEX Corp., has representatives in most European countries, including Ytron-Quadro (UK) for the British Isles which supplied this information. www.ytron-quadro.co.uk; www.quadro.com
