VDL Industrial Products, Eindhoven, the Netherlands, has developed the new Medium Duty (MD) dosing valves which have been specially designed and tested for dosing and pneumatic conveying of powders and granulates. Modular construction provides for use of ‘off the shelf’ parts, which can be combined to provide a customised solution within short delivery times. MD rotary valves can be used in installations with differential pressures up to about 1 bar. In- and outlet are designed for optimal filling and low resistance, resulting in less wear to the valve, and less damage to the conveyed product.
 

The construction of this valve allows easy conversion into a quick disassembly version without major alterations. This can be of importance in hygienic applications or where different products need to be conveyed without risk of cross-contamination. MD 150 and MD 200 models can be delivered with capacities respectively of 3 and 11 litres/rev at 100% filling rate. In the future more capacities will be offered.
