Haver & Boecker, Oelde, Germany, has won a large order to deliver two complete FFS (formfill-seal) bagging lines, together with appropriate palletizing systems, to a customer in Saudi Arabia. The plant is being specially adapted to handle the filling of fatty alcohol pastilles. The order was received via a Chinese design institute.

The Saudi Arabian market is of special interest to the German bagging specialist as this country has declared its firm intention to become world market leader for petrochemical products. Thus, Haver & Boecker sees profitable opportunities for a positive further development of this market, in particular as Saudi Arabia has abandoned its recent investment restraint and is currently going ahead with projects for new plants and modernisation of existing plants which have been postponed for a long time.
