02.02.2015 Dowson acquires H & H Process

Wrights Dowson Group, Sandy, Bedfordshire, UK, a leading manufacturer and supplier to the solids handling industry, in January completed the purchase of H & H Process which has been supplying process control equipment such as level detectors, air cannons and sampling systems to the materials processing industry for the past 29 years. Equipment manufacturers it represents include SWR Engineering, BinMaster, Vibco and QCEC (Quality Control Equipment Company).

H & H has relocated from its Kirkby in Ashfield, Nottinghamshire, offices to the Dowson headquarters in Sandy. Main contact, at least initially, will continue to be Mike Slack. He and Paul Houston are being retained in the business for a period of at least 12 months. Meanwhile Ross Winsor and Steve Hill, respectively sales engineer and commercial director at Dowson, will gradually take over responsibility for the running of H & H which will continue to operate under its original name as a wholly owned subsidiary of Wrights Dowson Group.
Dowson’s involvement in the bulk handling sector includes manufacture of a wide range of screw conveyors as well as agency agreements with Metalfab (metering screw feeders) and InterSystems (sampling devices). www.dowsongroup.com
