16.02.2015 Gericke introduces new mixing model

Gericke, Regensdorf, Switzerland, has extended its series of Multiflux® batch mixers with the introduction of its largest model so far, the GMS 5000 ECD. With a maximum useful volume of 4000 litres, the mixer provides the same ease of accessibility for cleaning together with short mixing times offered by other machines in the GMS mixer line. It is the only currently available mixer of its size with a fully hinged front side. The two horizontally arranged shafts are made of solid stainless steel. They are cantilevered on one side, which allows access to the mixing chamber from the front. These features provide for  fast and thorough cleaning. Gericke Multiflux mixers permit up to 12 mixing cycles per hour.

Because of their easy cleaning features and high mixing efficiency, the GMS series of Multiflux batch mixers are widely used for infant formula production and for similar applications where there is a need for hygienic combined with gentle and efficient mixing. Tests have demonstrated that these mixers are capable of blending additives and minor components quickly and reliably even in concentrations of several parts per thousand. They will be featured on the Gericke stand at three forthcoming trade shows: Exposolidos (Spain) this week; SOLIDS Antwerp (Belgium) 11-12 March; and Schüttgut / SOLIDS Basel (Switzerland) 6-7 May. www.gericke.net
