18.05.2015 Tablets dispensed gently from IBCs

UK-based Matcon, part of IDEX Corp., emphasises that not all intermediate bulk containers are the same, and the cone valve technology at the heart of the Matcon IBC system enables the feeding of blended powders and granules directly to roller compactors and tablet compression without the risk of segregation.  In fact, this technology allows the company to supply large-scale IBCs up to 3500 litres capacity, with the reassurance that the product will not segregate and will be fully discharged from the IBC.

Exhibited on Stand C8 in Hall 5.0 at Achema will be one of its IBCs specifically designed for gentle handling of tablets. This is part of Matcon’s tablet handling system designed to minimise drop height, acceleration and impact of the tablets.  This gives customers the ability to handle up to 650kg of coated or uncoated tablets in a single IBC. Handling tablets in larger batch sizes has the benefit of reducing labour, cleaning requirements and the number of connections/disconnections as well as improving inventory control and traceability while using fewer containers. www.matconibc.com
