18.05.2015 Non-invasive monitoring unit for bursting discs

REMBE, Brilon, Germany, recently extended its range of monitoring systems for explosion protection devices with the introduction of NIMU (Non-Invasive Monitoring Unit) which will be exhibited at Achema on Stand C26, Hall 9.1.  Being non-invasive in its monitoring method for bursting discs, NIMU provides reliable information about the way a bursting disc responds to positive and negative pressure.

NIMU is attached within a blind hole in the bursting disc holder, thereby isolating it from the process medium. The unit can easily be serviced and replaced without opening the pipeline. This signalling method is particularly suited for critical processes and applications which require the entire system to be completely impermeable. NIMU can be integrated into an existing process control system, using terminal boxes and isolating amplifiers. Moreover, it meets all certification and zoning requirements. www.rembe.de
