03.08.2015 Sampler offers enhanced hygiene features

Dinnissen Process Technology, Sevenum, the Netherlands, working in close consultation with its customers, has developed an upgraded version of its automatic sampling system. This latest version can be cleaned more quickly and effectively, further minimising the risk of external contamination.

Companies that operate in the high-end foodstuffs and pharma sectors have to comply with increasingly stringent requirements in the area of food or drug safety and quality. It is essential for them to take microbiological or physical samples of their products immediately after the mixing process or immediately before the packaging process, and they must be able to do so consistently and accurately.

Like its predecessor, Dinnissen’s new sampling system automatically takes samples in accordance with the frequency, volume, and weight specified by the user. The samples are collected in a sample bag or beaker. The interior of the new system is made from a single smooth piece of plastic without any contamination-susceptible edges, seams, or ridges. The new plastic interior is also special in that it can be detected as a metal and will also come in a blue colour not commonly associated with food products so that undesired contaminants can be more easily and quickly identified. www.dinnissen.nl

The new sampling system from Dinnissen was designed in accordance with EHEDG and ATEX guidelines and has a capacity of 25-1000g per sample
