Bulk handling and processing specialist engineering firm Ing. Johann Daxner GmbH, Wels, Austria, has supplied an advanced mixing system to food additives producer KaTech Katharina Hahn + Partner GmbH. The newly installed mixing plant serves as a core module for the production of high end powder mixes for the food industry.  

The concept design, which complies with HACCP and ATEX norms, was developed with regard to the exact requirements of the customer. In line with the specified budget, Daxner planned, delivered and installed a complete gravimetric mixing system equipped with various components in hygienic design, which provides energy efficiency, high flexibility for product changeovers and easy cleaning. Another essential objective was to ensure utmost mixing accuracy and to enable a gentle and hygienic addition of micro ingredients. This was achieved by reducing risk of cross-contamination in order to maintain product quality.
