Official opening of American Starlinger-Sahm’s new head office
Starlinger, Vienna, Austria, reports that on 23-24 September, American Starlinger-Sahm, Inc. celebrated the official opening of its new US headquarters in Fountain Inn in the Greenville Metropolitan Area, South Carolina, during a two-day open house. Staff had already moved into the new premises earlier this year (see EBS News for the weeks of 22 June 2015 and 1 September 2014). Angelika Huemer, managing partner of the parent company Starlinger & Co. GmbH, emphasised the importance of the North American market for the Austrian-based engineering company. Customers are able to avail themselves of the new technical centre with showroom, where machine demonstrations and test runs with customer materials can be carried out. In total some 140 customers from more than 65 companies from the USA, Canada, Mexico and South America attended the opening festivities.
Ms Huemer commented: “In the past years we witnessed a continuous rise in the demand for our machinery on the North American market. Our subsidiary Sahm already has a long established presence as a supplier of winding technology to the American textile sector, and with the growing plastics recycling industry, Starlinger recycling lines are experiencing strong demand.” www.starlinger.com; www.starlingersahm.com
