Drying salt in Tanzania
Ventilex, Heerde, the Netherlands, has won an order to supply a fluidbed dryer, together with peripheral equipment including cyclones and ventilator, to a customer in Tanzania. The system is designed to dry food-grade salt at a rate of 10t/h and is scheduled to be operational by summer of 2016.
The company, which in October celebrated its 50th anniversary, also has a subsidiary in Middletown, OH, which was established in 2001, since when some 70 dryers have been supplied to customers in North America. Ventilex has become a strong brand name in industrial drying and DryGenic dehumidifying equipment.
