15.02.2016 GEA adopts integrated approach to UK food sector

GEA UK, based in Warrington, is now offering all group services from a single address with just one point of contact.  This follows a major reorganisation announced last year within all GEA Group’s worldwide offices, whereby company activities are separated into two basic divisions: provision of process solutions on the one hand, and development and manufacture of products on the other (see EBS News for week of 8 June 2015). Until last year, GEA had run several independently organised companies for the different technological products and solutions in the UK. From standard plant systems to customised solutions, all GEA food processing technology is designed to meet optimum hygiene and quality standards, while operating efficiently and sustainably. The technical expertise is complemented by project management, planning and cost control services to help the customer achieve flexible and cost-effective food production.

Ilija Aprcovic, GEA UK managing director, commented: “We have now embarked on an incredible journey with our clients and are looking forward to incorporating all facets of their facilities into our integrated solutions and service offerings”. The new UK company will be exhibiting at Foodex in Birmingham, 18-20 April.
