Gebr. Lödige Maschinenbau, Paderborn, Germany, has introduced the Type SEM 3000 quick-emptying mixer which is equipped with an extra large discharge outlet along the entire length of the drum, allowing the mixed product to be emptied in a matter of seconds. The machine has been designed for processing of solids and is especially suitable for applications requiring high throughputs in combination with batch operation. It can be used in a wide variety of industries ranging from building materials to food.

 

The large discharge opening ensures an almost residue-free discharge of the product in only two seconds. This, combined with quick feeding and short mixing times, allows up to 25 batches per hour to be processed. Efficient production is ensured even in the case of frequent change-over of product formulations. The machine guarantees short mixing times while achieving a high degree of homogeneity as well as excellent batch reproduceability.

 

Designed with regard to profitability, the SEM 3000 is also characterised by low maintenance and easy access to all internal machine parts. The new SEM is available in four sizes with drum volumes from 1600 up to 3000 litres. As an option, the mixer can be easily modified for ATEX compliance.
