Tetra Pak, Le May sur Evre, France, has launched the FL200 dust filter which has been specifically designed for high-hygiene applications involving, for example, powders for baby food, nutritional and dietary products and supplements (para-pharmaceuticals). Its flexible design – with mounting positions on either the top or side of the hopper together with novel removable sleeve and base-plate cover – ensure easy access for cleaning and servicing the filter and hopper, cutting clean times by up to 50% while at the same time minimising powder product losses.

 

This dust filter, which complies with EC, ATEX and EAC regulations, has an integrated  pressure drop measurement system that helps ensure optimal filtering while informing the operator when it is time to clean or replace the sleeves.
