Matcon, Evesham, UK, has appointed Richard Lockwood as pharmaceutical business line director. He takes over from Shaun Baker who had been with the company for eight years. Lockwood, who holds a bachelor of engineering degree in chemical engineering from the University of Bradford, had previously been an active member of Matcon’s sales team, in which capacity he had helped create successful markets for the company in South America and South Africa, with several large orders being secured in recent months from these territories. He brings 20 years’experience in engineering and manufacturing sales in the food, pharmaceuticals and oil & gas sectors to his new role, having joined Matcon almost seven years ago from Alfa Laval.
