30.01.2017 Load cell up to 600t capacity

Penko Engineering, Ede, the Netherlands, reports that it has further reduced the boundaries for weighing technology. With four sensors in theory offering capacities up to 2.4 x 106 kg it is now possible to weigh single entities up to 2400t.
The 740 series, available from 15t capacity upwards, is truly heavy duty. The sensor is fabricated entirely from stainless steel and has the protection classes IP68 and IP69K. Moreover, there is a version for hazardous areas up to the zones 0 and 20. Because of outdoor applications a lightning protection is integrated. Despite these robust features, the accuracy is high: 0.025 or 0.1% of the weighing capacity.

Loading assemblies ensure proper operation. For all capacities suitable accessories are available. Each assembly provides protection against transverse forces and loads in the horizontal plane. Integrated in the attachment is a device to make the weigher wind-resistant with just one or two bolt(s). www.penko.com
