26.06.2017 Schütz inaugurates new Polish factory

Schütz, Selters, Germany, on 22nd June officially opened its new 23,000m2 Schütz Polska Sp. z o.o. factory which is situated in Zory, some 35km south of Katowice. At the beginning of December 2016 production of Ecobulk intermediate bulk containers started at the facility and an IBC reconditioning line was installed in May this year. Roland Strassburger, Schütz CEO, and Zbigniew Zietkowski, general manager Schütz Polska, welcomed guests from Poland, Slovakia, Hungary, Romania, Ukraine, Czech Republic, Russia, Austria and Germany. The new subsidiary has been built in compliance with the latest production and technical standards and is equipped with state-of-the-art production lines. It is expected to provide a valuable addition to the global collection and reconditioning network and adds a further hub for the countries in Central and Eastern Europe.

The factory, which was specifically built as a gateway to Central Europe, enables even faster collections and more flexible services thanks to shorter distances. The opening of the new site also makes a great contribution to sustainability, as shorter distances always mean lower emissions. As well as the production and reconditioning facilities, the site also includes administrative offices. Regional customers are expected to benefit through better supply security as well as local staffing and technical support. www.schuetz.net
