Mettler-Toledo, Greifensee, Switzerland, has extended its well established range of Pinmount weigh modules with the introduction of a 100t capacity model. The Pinmount weigh module family consists of seven models with capacities from 7.5t up to 100t. They are designed to be incorporated into tank, vessel, vehicle and conveyor scales where a high standard of safety is required. ATEX and FM approvals allow for use in explosive environments. Their hermetically sealed stainless-steel load cells meet IP68 protection standards to ensure long life in harsh environments.

Dual anti-lift-up devices protect tanks and conveyors from tipping over as a result of strong wind forces or seismic activity. Several integrated safeguards provide security in cases of extreme overload. Two optional stabilisers fix the tank and absorb torque forces from mixers and ensure short stabilisation times.

The load cell’s intergrated rocker pin automatically introduces vertical load at a single point. This allows the load cell to move inside the module so that high accuracy is achieved while temperature expansions are tolerated. Each module is delivered with approval certificates that indicate compliance with requirements of the International Organization of Legal Metrology (OIML) and the National Type Evaluation Program (NTEP).
