GKM Siebtechnik, Waibstadt, Germany – which specialises in manufacture of screening systems – has recently developed a new generation of pneumatic lifting devices. This new, easy-to-use system has already been successfully applied by well known customers in the market. The external pneumatic deck lifters can be retrofitted any time and with ease to all types of screener, whether it is a vibrating or a tumbler screening machine. They make it quick and easy to exchange screen inserts, hence shortening setup times. By means of ceiling-mounted pneumatic cylinders, individual screen decks can be raised for inspecting or exchanging the insert. This is of particular advantage for machines with multiple screen decks, because the raised interdecks can be lowered back down to the exact same position.

 

This innovative new system, which will be exhibited on the GKM stand (4A-331) at POWTECH, 26-28 September, is already in successful service. It can be retro-fitted with little effort. It is ideally suited for any type of round screening machines. The advantages of the new system are said to include:

• very fast screen exchange

• quick and easy inspection and cleaning of the screening machine

• external installation of pneumatics

• low initial cost.
