20.05.2019 Van Velthoven promoted at Key Technology

Key Technology, with headquarters in Walla Walla, WA, has announced the promotion of Karel Van Velthoven to the position of advanced inspection systems product marketing manager. Based at Key’s European Innovation and Solutions Center in Hasselt, Belgium, he will be responsible for managing global activities that support the development and sales of the company’s high performance digital sorting and automatic defect removal systems.

“Karel possesses a deep understanding of our solutions and target markets as well as the needs of food processors. He is ideally suited to reflect the voices of our customers and help us steer future product development,” said Daniel Leighty, senior director, global sales operations.

Van Velthoven has been with Key for six years and brings more than 20 years of experience in marketing and sales of high-tech equipment. Prior to this promotion, his positions included customer engagement manager and EMEIA marketing manager. He holds a bachelors degree in marketing and corporate communications from the PXL University in Belgium.

He commented: “Sorting technology is rapidly changing. Next-generation sensors, artificial intelligence, improved man-machine interactions – these are just a few of the exciting advancements on our roadmap. Our VERYX family of sorters in particular gives us a solid, future-proof platform to build on”. www.key.net
