AUMUND SARL, Paris, France – a subsidiary of Germany’s AUMUND Fördertechnik – has won an order from thyssenkrupp Industrial Solutions (France) SAS to supply nine heavy-duty materials handling systems for a cement plant it is building in Cameroon, West Africa, for OYAK Çimento AS, one of the leading Turkish cement producers which has also been a valued customer of the AUMUND Group for many years. OYAK sees Africa as a growth market.

thyssenkrupp Industrial Solutions (France) will be responsible for the design, supply and installation of the new OYAK plant, which is situated near Kribi, 160km from Douala, the largest city in Cameroon. The plant will have a grinding station for calcinated clay with a capacity of 720t/day and one for cement with a capacity of 100t/h. AUMUND France will supply a package of three type BWZ AUMUND bucket elevators with central chain, three AUMUND belt bucket elevators type BWG and three Samson® Material Feeders as the conveying systems for each of these mills.

The machines will be supplied at the end of February 2021, and production is due to start at the plant in September 2022. www.aumund.com
