19.07.2021 IBCs deliver drinking water to German flood victims

Schütz, Selters, Germany, has in recent days been supporting the THW (the German federal agency for technical relief), fire departments and the German army with FOODCERT IBCs for supply and treatment of drinking water, following the recent devastating floods which badly affected the states of Rhineland-Palatinate and North Rhine-Westphalia, as well as neighbouring parts of Belgium and the Netherlands.

Following the worst regional flood disaster in decades as a result of prolonged heavy rainfall, water surged through towns and villages, flooding houses, uprooting trees and sweeping away vehicles. Rivers burst their banks and bridges were destroyed, as were power lines and water pipes resulting in power outages and shortage of drinking water. Various organisations have been quick to launch further relief efforts. www.schuetz.net
