World’s largest containerised mixing plant
Last May BHS-Sonthofen, Germany, supplied a Twinmix 4.0 mixing plant to the Max Bögl Group to help with the construction of a section of the A71 autobahn near Artern, Germany. With a rated output of up to 320m³/h of compacted concrete, it is the world’s largest quickly relocatable mobile mixing plant. It took about a week to install the Twinmix 4.0, which is built around two twin-shaft batch mixers of the DKX series. In addition to the actual installation work, this included the calibration of the scales and the training of the operating personnel. Since the autumn of 2012 the plant has been in operation in eastern Poland. There, Bögl is currently modernising and expanding the manoeuvring area of Rzeszów-Jasionka Airport. In the summer of 2013 it is scheduled to be moved to its next location.
Complete disassembly of the plant at the construction site in Artern took one and a half days with just four men. Installation and commissioning at the new construction site took just two days. Allowing a day for transportation, the plant can be completely relocated within a week and the fact that it requires no foundations contributes significantly to this short installation time. Levelled ground is sufficient. www.bhs-sonthofen.de
