Learning about electrostatics in powder handling… also dust explosions
The Wolfson Centre for Bulk Solids Handling, University of Greenwich, UK, is organising next month two consecutive one-day courses:
16 April: Electrostatics in powder handling: This course discusses the causes and effect of electrostatic charge in bulk solids handling, and the hazards caused to product quality control and risk assessment.
Topics include:
• Influences of electrostatic charge on physical properties of powders
• Charge hazards in material handling processes
• Evaluation and measurement techniques
• Prediction and solutions.
