Piab, Täby, Sweden, has brought out an upgrade kit for its C Series vacuum conveyors. This has been made possible thanks to a standard interface between the C Series and the new piFLOW®p conveyor. The upgrade consists of a new COAX® powered vacuum pump called piPREMIUM, along with a cover, shock tank and con troll valve. The upgrade just snaps on to the C Series with no need for tools. Users benefit from the latest vacuum technology from the COAX’s efficient design that saves on compressed air energy costs. The working environment is improved with a lower noise level thanks to an integrated silencer. Uptime is increased with a maintenance-friendly design of fewer internal parts and a single connection point; the same features also make the unit quicker and easier to clean.
