Revolutionary slide valve has 53 patent-pending features
Process Components, Macclesfield, UK, which manufactures the original MUCON Iris Diaphragm Valve, will be launching a new range of pneumatic and manually actuated double flanged inline slide valves at POWTECH (Hall 1, Stand 445). This advanced range of SD-P MUCON slide valves has a patent pending with no fewer than 53 claims and has been recognised as such an innovative product that it has been put forward for the POWTECH / TechnoPharm New Innovations award.
Key features include:
• A robust total shut-off solution; ideal for use with powders, granules and pellets
• Durable self-compensating polymer seal; this ensures that the blade on the slide valve is fully dust tight and so prevents material going to atmosphere
• It offers the manufacturing process total unobstructed full bore opening
• Smooth, non-jamming operation
• Able to cut through a static column
• Self cleaning thanks to low friction resilient polymer sealing surfaces.
• A novel seal loading system ensures that the valve requires exceptionally low levels of maintenance.
