Hygienic belt weigher for fast recipe changeover
Gericke, Regensdorf, Switzerland, has developed an entirely new belt weigher which has been designed to provide maximum flexibility, thereby setting new standards in the field of continuous feeding technology. The new hygienic DBW-H 400 has been engineered specifically for applications where fast recipe changeover and high process reliability are of prime importance. Belt weighers can be used for conveying and feeding of lumpy, crumbly, brittle and free flowing products such as cornflakes, nuts, sweets or washing powder. In many cases they present an interesting alternative to screw feeders as they achieve high feed rates while being of compact dimensions.
The new belt weigher incorporates a stable frame which enables the integration of large-scale inspection glass. This allows operating staff easily to check smooth running of the feeding process. Polished and flat surfaces, as well as excellent overall internal accessibility, permit easy and fast cleaning. No additional tools are required when opening the machine or changing the belt.
The weighing technology works in association with the Gericke Easydos Pro feeder controller. User programs and configurations can be downloaded from a computer and programs and data can also be downloaded by means of a memory stick. This belt weigher is suitable for feed rates within the range 30-65,000 litres/h. Product is fed through the unit continuously, eliminating the need for refill sequences.
