Sterivalves, Lucca, Italy, has introduced Rotocrusher, a sanitary stainless steel lump breaker which is driven at speed by a direct high torque system: electric motor, pneumatic rotor, or pneumatic actuator. It meets rigorous safety and hygiene standards while achieving the ideal degree of fragmentation. Its output covers flow rates ranging from 750kg/h up to 3t/h. The intermeshing toothed rotor design allows undersize material to pass freely through the continuously changing gaps generated by the moving shaft. Thanks to its modular, compact construction, the crusher can also be employed as a pre-breaker in conjunction with a sieve, mill, etc. Manufactured in accordance with cGMP, it is easy to clean and it is suitable for CIP and SIP.
