16.12.2013 Mobile screw-type cement loader is first in Caribbean region

Van Beek, Drunen, the Netherlands, has supplied a Dino mobile bulk loader to Argos & Mijnmaatschappij Cement Company (A&MCC) in Willemstad, Curaçao. Employed to transfer imported blast furnace cement from bulk bags into road powder tankers, it was chosen in preference to a competitive cement loader of US manufacture despite being slightly more expensive.

The machine has a capacity of 40m3/h when handling cement and features a hopper fitted with bulk bag cutters and fluidisation pads at the inlet to promote cement flow. The screen cover on the hopper ensures that any coarse or foreign materials are separated from the cement stream. A loading bellows with a dust filter unit on the outlet side ensures dustfree loading. The Dino has a cover over the full length of the screw that can be opened to clean the installation quickly and thoroughly. It was simple to ship the unit to Curaçao as it folds down to fit compactly inside a 40ft freight container. Van Beek has already sold over 350 Dinos worldwide, but this is the first one to the Caribbean region. www.van-beek.nl
